Priyamani has made her Tamil comeback with the internationally acclaimed Tamil film Paruthiveera and gained widespread recognition for her role as village girl Muththazhagu, receiving National Film Award for Best Actress and Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance.
