Cha Soo Hyun(Song Hye Kyo) est la fille d'une famille politique puissante. Elle a récemment divorcé de son riche mari issu d'un mariage arrangé. Fatiguée de vivre une vie guidée par les autres, elle décide de partir à l'étranger. Elle croise le chemin de Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum), une jeune esprit libre. Malgré leurs différences, ils sont indéniablement attirés l'un vers l'autre. Est-ce que ces deux-là trouveront le véritable amour au milieu de leurs différences ?

Soo Hyun tells Jin Hyuk that she can help him stay in the head office, but Jin Hyuk refuses her offer saying that he should show people how he comes back to the head office all by himself. Meanwhile, Donghwa Hotel’s year-end party is held as planned. Myung Sik and Sun Joo plan to invite Soo Hyun and Jin Hyuk who has been transferred to Sokcho without telling the two of them so that the young couple has a surprise reunion at the party.
Even after Soo Hyun's confession at the press conference in Sokcho that shocked the public, Soo Hyun and Jin Hyuk continue to date. However, by Chairwoman Kim's order, Jin Hyuk is told to be transferred to a local branch in Sokcho. He argues that being relocated due to his relationship with Soo Hyun is unfair.
With the opening ceremony coming up for the hotel in Sokcho, everybody is busy with work. Soo Hyun is surrounded by enemies, but that makes her feel even closer to Jin Hyuk. At the hotel opening ceremony, Soo Hyun witnesses Hwa Jin giving Jin Hyuk a hard time.
Everyone is confused and shocked by Jin Hyuk’s bold actions. Hye In, who’s had feelings for Jin Hyuk from a long time ago, is heartbroken as well. Mi Jin worries for her friend’s future and tells Jin Hyuk a little bit about Soo Hyun.
Jin Hyuk approaches Soo Hyun with sincerity and honesty, but Soo Hyun is afraid of the consequences her actions will bring. She tries to push him away, but it isn’t easy. Chairwoman Kim plans to bring Soo Hyun down from the CEO position, and an anonymous posting on the in-house bulletin board get people talking.
With Soo Hyun’s mother and ex-mother-in-law on the same boat, Soo Hyun fights a lonely battle. She asks for Woo Suk’s help so that Jin Hyuk won’t get hurt. With a heavy heart, Soo Hyun goes on a business trip to Sokcho.
Upon his arrival, Jin Hyuk gets a surprising phone call telling him that he got the job at Donghwa Hotel. He is perplexed by the fact that the woman he spent a romantic day with in Cuba is actually the CEO of the hotel. On Jin Hyuk’s first day at work, he meets Soo Hyun again.
After getting the divorce she wanted, Soo Hyun devoted her life into making her hotel successful. It was so successful that she earned the chance to open a branch in Cuba. After attending the opening ceremony, she visits Malecon Beach and has a magical encounter.
