The fourth season of the television comedy series Boy Meets World aired between September 20, 1996 and May 25, 1997, on ABC in the United States. The season was produced by Michael Jacobs Productions and Touchstone Television with series creator Michael Jacobs as executive producer. It was broadcast as part of the ABC comedy block TGIF on Friday evening, moving from its former 8.30 slot to 9.30, airing between Clueless and 20/20.

Episode 19 - Quiz Show

The producers of a dull but prestigious academic bowl sense a hit after Cory, Shawn and Topanga become star contestants by enlivening the show with their humor and pop culture knowledge. But the price of success is changing the questions from brainy to brainless in order to allow Cory and Shawn to win.

When Eric learns his new girlfriend Kelly has a son, he's confident he's mature enough to handle the responsibility - but too scared to tell his parents about it. Meanwhile, Cory and his friends prepare for the dreaded SAT's.

Episode 17 - A Long Walk to Pittsburgh-Part II

A couple of surprise visitors may hold the cure for a lovesick Cory, who is trying to put his life back together now that his sweetheart, Topanga, has moved away. When she runs away to see him again, Cory must persuade his parents-and Topanga's prudish Aunt Prudence-that theirs is a true love.

Episode 16 - A Long Walk to Pittsburgh-Part I

When Cory discovers the reason why his girlfriend, Topanga, and Shawn are acting like more than just friends - in fact, kissing - he must come to grips with an important change in his life. What's worse than the peck is the reason behind it: Topanga's moving away to Pittsburgh.

Episode 15 - Chick Like Me
First Aired: January. 31,1997

The war between the sexes starts heating up at John Adams High when the boys realize that girls expect different things when out on a date. When it is suggested to Cory that his school newspaper column is a tad boring, Shawn gives him a story idea on dating and sexual harassment based on the book they're reading in Mr. Feeny's class: Black Like Me. After Cory emerges from the bathroom in full regalia, it is decided that Shawn would make a better girl: he's studied them much more carefully. Making his debut at school, Shawn, now Veronica Wasboyski, immediately gets asked out by Gary, one of the school's more well-known Lotharios. Shawn soon finds out what it's like to push off a teen boy's advances. Meanwhile, Eric tries to teach mountain-reared Lonnie how to get along with city men.

Episode 14 - Wheels

Alan finds himself at a crossroads when Cory, armed with a new driver's license on his 16th birthday, would rather celebrate with Shawn and Topanga than with him.

Episode 13 - B & B's B'n B
First Aired: January. 10,1997

Shawn, bent on proving to Feeny that he can make it in the business world, convinces Cory to turn Feeny's quaint home into a Bed & Breakfast Inn economics-class project while their unsuspecting teacher is out of town. Meanwhile, Eric and Feeny surprise each other when they end up better friends while on vacation at the same hotel - especially when Eric passes up a date with a female bartender to console Feeny over the failure of his long-term long distance romance.

Episode 12 - Easy Street
First Aired: December. 13,1996

Comedy veterans Buddy Hackett and Soupy Sales play two businessmen of a shady sort who hire Cory and, subsequently, Shawn to run "errands" for them. Since it is just before Christmas, Cory decides he can use the money for his holiday shopping. However, Cory quits once he figures out that the two gents are not on the up-and-up. Shawn takes over, but Cory soon persuades his pal to quit as well, before he gets in over his head - or hit over the head. (Touchstone press release.)

Episode 11 - An Affair to Forget
First Aired: November. 29,1996

Shawn is in a state of shock when his very beautiful, very haughty girlfriend, Jennifer, dumps him. She agrees to get back together on one condition: that Shawn has nothing to do with Cory ever again. This doesn't set well with either of them and the two friends begin seeing each other covertly to avoid Jennifer's wrath. Only the levelheaded Topanga has the insight to solve Cory and Shawn's dilemma. Meanwhile, Eric thinks he's onto a get-rich-quick scheme when he rents a theater for a one-man show he's written called Look at Me, Look at Me, and charges $30 a ticket. (Touchstone press release)

Episode 10 - Turkey Day
First Aired: November. 22,1996

Assigned a Thanksgiving weekend assignment to consider how class divisions between the haves and have-nots are at the heart of the conflict in Rwanda, Cory and Shawn hope the Thanksgiving spirit will encourage their families to be better friends, but having the holiday feast at the Hunters' trailer park home is not what the reluctant Matthews family had in mind. Nor, it turns out, does the situation sit well with the other trailer park residents. Meanwhile, Frankie's little brother Herman asks permission to court Morgan; and everyone winds up eating dinner at Frankie's table which "always has room for more."

Episode 9 - Sixteen Candles and 400-lb. Men

Cory agrees to go to a wrestling match with a buddy on the same night as Topanga's Sweet 16 party.

Episode 8 - Dangerous Secret

Shawn insists things aren't what they seem when Cory catches him with a girl, but Cory won't buy it.

Episode 7 - Singled Out
First Aired: November. 01,1996

Eric says he attends Harvard in order to be on MTV's Singled Out. Meanwhile, Cory is afraid of "disapearing" while getting his tonsils taken out.

Episode 6 - Janitor Dad
First Aired: October. 25,1996

Verna presents Chet with an ultimatum to find work, or she will take off once again. This causes Chet to land the job of school janitor, utterly humiiating Shawn.

Episode 5 - Shallow Boy
First Aired: October. 18,1996

When Eric offends Corinna, a strange, nerdy girl who writes her own songs, she writes a song downgrading him, and she becomes famous. Meanwhile, Cory and Topanga fear that their differing views on children could affect their future together.

Episode 4 - Fishing for Virna

When Shawn's mother arrives back in town, Cory decides to re-unite his friend's family, while at the same time honor the memory of Brenda, the devoted cafeteria lady of the school lunchroom.

Episode 3 - I Ain't Gonna Spray Lettuce No More

Alan decides he needs a raise at work, however he decides to quit, sending the whole family swirling into chaos.

Episode 2 - Hair Today, Goon Tomorrow

As Cory is feeling insecure about his hair, Topanga shows him that appearance is meaningless, and she proves so by cutting off some of her own locks, a decision she quickly regrets.

Due to his fear of facing life again, Eric decides to stay at a small town, where he can live easy for the rest of his life. Meanwhile, Alan has doubts about having done something worthwhile with his life after he wins a company award.
