Alf Season 2
Gordon Shumway est né de l'union de Bob et Flo Shumway le 28 août 1757 sur la planète Melmac. Le 28 août 1985 (les Melmaciens vivent 650 ans), la planète Melmac explose à la suite d'un holocauste nucléaire. Gordon réussit néanmoins à s'enfuir en vaisseau spatial avant la catastrophe. Perdu dans l'espace, il erre un long moment (presque un an) avant de venir s'écraser sur Terre sur un garage au 167 Hemdale Street à Los Angeles, où vivent les Tanner, une famille de banlieusards américains sans histoire. Gordon se trouvant alors dans l'incapacité de réparer son vaisseau, les Tanner, qui le surnomment Alf (Alien Life Form), acceptent de l'héberger à vie. Les Tanner vont devoir cacher Alf aux yeux de tous, pour éviter que ce petit être poilu d'1,20 mètre ne devienne un animal de laboratoire. Mais Alf veut comprendre tout ce qui se passe sur sa nouvelle planète et cela chamboule entièrement la vie des Tanner. Ces derniers vont vite comprendre que cacher un Melmacien n'est pas chose facile, mais sa gentillesse et son ignorance des coutumes terriennes le rendent attachant, en dépit de ses idées loufoques (telles que vouloir manger des chats, ceux-ci étant considérés comme un mets délicieux sur Melmac) qui entraînent régulièrement la famille dans des situations compliquées, voire dangereuses pour Alf. La famille ne peut pas supporter les voisins Trevor et Raquel Ochmonek, en particulier Alf, qui trouve Trevor vulgaire et légèrement débile. Il apparaît souvent lorsque Alf a fait une bourde. Raquel est la version féminine de son mari Trevor. Son côté fouineur met souvent en péril la vie cachée d'Alf.

ALF tries to escape from the hospital but ends up stuck in an elevator with a woman in labor. After helping the woman to give birth, ALF pretends to be a toy and the cabin owner puts him back in the trunk and they drive away. When the cabin owner is about to jump off a bridge, ALF disguises himself as Santa and convinces the cabin owner to drive back to the cabin, where ALF is reunited with the Tanners.
ALF and the Tanners prepare to spend Christmas in a cabin. When the owner comes to visit them, ALF accidently jumps into his trunk and he is taken to a hospital and given away as a Christmas gift to a little girl.
Kate dreams that she and ALF are rival presidential candidates.
ALF and the Tanner kids give Willie and Kate a second honeymoon.
Willie and ALF hop on board a freight train in search of adventure.
ALF gets a severe case of hiccups after being excluded from Dorothy and Whizzer's wedding party.
ALF helps Lynn boost her self-confidence by enrolling her in a beauty pageant.
ALF becomes the star attraction at the Tanners' Halloween party.
The Tanners become a TV-ratings family and ALF decides to rig the system so that his favorite program becomes a hit.
